Tyndale Academy was established in 1999 at the request of two ordinary Newham Families. Since then it has developed an extraordinary model of schooling that has made OFSTED and government ministers sit up and commend its standards.

Tyndale Academy was established in 1999 at the request of two ordinary Newham Families. Since then it has developed an extraordinary model of schooling that has made OFSTED and government ministers sit up and commend its standards.
From September 2008 we aim to make changes to our provision. By 2009 the government intend to establish by law a new setting in which education can be provided. Tyndale will be among the first of these new “mini schools” which will be a real alternative to mainstream schools.
It operates for a shorter school day than those of mainstream schools and its classes are much smaller.
